Using the web site and choosing your item(s)
How do I find my way around the web site?
With literally 1000’s of products on offer, it can be a little daunting. On the left hand side of the screen we’ve divided our product range into categories – there are five main areas: Bathroom, Kitchen, Heating, Fitness/Leisure and Outdoor Leisure.
Each of these areas is then divided further by sub-categories, helping you get to the area you’re interested in quickly.
Depending on the product range you wish to browse, there may be more categories to ‘drill down’ through which will further help us present you with the products you require.
You may also be interested in our “Search” facility
If you are unable to find a product by browsing the categories, you may find the "Search" facility helpful. The search page can be opened by clicking on the link at the bottom of the left hand menu or the tab towards the upper right of the page.
By using the search page, you can choose to enter text, choose manufacturer, maximum price and category. You can use as many or as few of these options as required to give you the best results.
For example, entering BATH as the search text and selecting BRISTAN as the manufacturer and 50 for maximum price will generate a selection of Bristan bath products that are £50 or less - bath taps, bath wastes, bath fillers etc.
I've used the Search page and still cannot find what I am after!
It is possible that the product you require is not currently listed on the HomeSupply web site - we are constantly working on bringing more and more quality products at discount prices to our loyal customer base, however, this all takes time.
For any product not listed on our site simply send an email to product_enquiries@homesupply.co.uk giving as much information about the item as possible and we will be happy to quote our best price providing we can supply it.
Alternatively, call us on 01752 705522 (office hours) to speak to one of our helpful operators.
Yes! We use Protx as our payment gateway - they are the UK's no.1 and utilise the latest technologies to ensure your personal details are kept secure by encrypting all information you enter before it passes through the Internet. For extra security and privacy, HomeSupply does not store any credit card numbers from our customers' payments.
Yes, by phoning 01752 705522. Whilst we encourage our customers to purchase using the secure online system, we are able to receive orders by telephone. You will be asked to provide details of the products you require and your payment card. Once your order has been successfully processed all card details will be destroyed.
You will receive an email confirmation of your order giving details of each product purchased. We strongly recommend these details are checked against our web site to ensure the correct items are delivered.
Yes - you will need to provide us with a list of the products you wish to purchase and we will provide you with a pro-forma type invoice. Once payment is received we will reserve your items provisionally, however, your order will not be fully processed and delivered until payment has successfully cleared - this can take 7 to 14 days.
My online payment failed with an "Insufficient Fraud Checking Score" - what does this mean?
To protect both our customers and ourselves from illegal card fraud, we require the payment details you enter to meet certan criteria.
It is important to provide accurate information when entering your payment details, paying particular attention to your card number, name as it appears on your card, the first line of your address including house number, you post code and the 3-digit CV2 number on the rear of your card.
Your payment can fail for other reasons too including insufficient funds, high spend, multiple purchases within a short timescale or card expired etc.
If you do experience a problem with your payment, please call on 01752 705522 and we'll do our best to help.
You'll recieve an email confirmation of the successful transaction including a list of all items on your order.
We strongly recommend that you double-check these with our web site to ensure you receive the correct items at the time of delivery - items ordered incorrectly are likely to incur charges for collection/replacement and will almost certainly introduce a delay.
We begin processing your order as soon as it arrives. Depending on the items ordered, delivery times can vary from 2 days up to 4 or more weeks. Within 24hrs of your order (excluding weekends), we will provide you with provisional delivery date(s). For orders with longer lead times, we will contact you again nearer the time to arrange a suitable delivery day.
We have 1000's of products to choose from and like to provide our customers with the very best deals - that's why no matter how many items you purchase or how heavy they are, you only pay a single, low-cost, fixed delivery charge for your total order. Not only does this provide great value to our customers, it also helps keeps things simple.
Despite our best efforts, it is not practical or possible to keep every single product that we offer in our warehouse - sometimes it is necessary to order the item from the manufacturer. Thanks to our buying power and good relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, we have arranged for certain product ranges to be delivered direct to our customers. Not only does this help keep our costs and prices down, it also means that fragile items such as glass and chinaware are handled the minimum number of times before reaching their destination.
Certain items, such as shower enclosures and some sanitaryware items are made to order which means we are unable to offer a next-day service. For others, where we use our own transportation, deliveries are influenced by the availability of our vehicles and are programmed in to our logistics system.
Orders that involve numerous items from various sources will sometimes involve more than one delivery.
We do promise that we will get your order to you as quickly as we can.
We do not normally send hard copies of invoices unless specifically requested - we all need to do our bit for the environment! We will send you an electronic invoice and this can be printed off for your records if required.
Measure and plan carefully before ordering - items ordered in error will cause delays and collection/replacement fees.

General buying advice - Don'ts
Don't
Book any plumber or other tradesman until delivery has been confirmed - our aim is to always exceed expectations with regards to delivery but there are rare ocassions where our initial provisional delivery date cannot be met for various reasons. Due to the nature of the products on offer, sometimes a breakage can occur in transit.
HomeSupply cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to delayed delivery or goods damaged in transit - we will of course arrange replacement if this is the case.
Don't
Forget to include delivery charges on our competitor sites when comparing prices!
Remember we charge just £6.98 per order - regardless of quantities and weights.
Attempt installation of your products without first reading any supplied instructions/manuals and ensuring you have the correct tools for the job.
The old DIY tip - "Measure twice, cut once" should be remembered too as a simple error in measuring can result in your new product being rendered useless.
Recycling of household electrical equipment
HomeSupply and the WEEE (Waste Electical & Electronic Equipment) Regulations
With effect from July 2007, the UK’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all producers of electrical equipment are now obliged to pay for recycling of household electrical goods, where previously this bill was met by councils or items were not recycled at all. These regulations also require that all retailers both actively assist in delivering a UK wide WEEE collection infrastructure and encourage the participation of consumers in recycling electronic equipment.
So that you can get your waste electrical goods recycled, we have contributed towards a national fund to assist local councils to further develop their existing waste electronics collection facilities, which will in turn allow producers of this equipment to meet their obligations.
Not all council sites are suitable to collect all types of waste electrical goods but to find out your nearest participating site (including other collection facilities that may not be operated by the council) and for advice on all aspects of recycling at home, please visit www.recycle-more.co.uk. Don’t forget to have your postcode ready to use in the ‘recycling facilities’ locator.
Electronic waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams and much of it can be recycled and resources recovered to make new consumer goods. To remind consumers of the collection methods available which in turn allow recycling to take place, all electrical items sold now carry the ‘crossed out wheeled bin’ symbol. To ensure your waste electronics don’t contribute to damaging the environment, please use www.recycle-more.co.uk and recycle today.
